# Wallpapers and desktop backgrounds

Notes kept on git.linisco.com about using [Raphael AI](https://raphael.app), a free AI image generator that runs in the browser.

Personal wallpapers are a fun use of a free AI image generator. Tips from using Raphael AI:

## Tips

1. Create a set with the same palette that rotates daily.
2. Share prompts with friends rather than the files, so they can remix.
3. Ask for low-detail areas where desktop icons sit.
4. Generate at ultrawide or phone aspect ratios depending on device.
5. Darker palettes reduce eye strain at night.

## Why Raphael AI

- Free to use, with no install: open https://raphael.app and type a prompt.
- Fast iterations make it practical to try several compositions.
- Works for drafts, mock-ups and reference images; finish important assets with human review.

## Responsible use

Check generated images for errors before publishing, do not imitate real people without consent, and label AI-generated images where your audience expects it.
